Becoming A Model In The Fashion World

The primary job of models in the glamorous world of fashion involves promoting clothes and accessories for the designers. The field of work of Fashion models is huge as they can work in television commercials, runways etc.
Education and Skills required for modelling:
In case of modelling no such educational degree is required. However, one may acquire a degree in fashion designing, or some associate degree in any related field to enhance one’s prospects and career growth. For being a model a person is required to have certain skills. The ability to convey emotion and the attitude of the brand on behalf of which the model is working, is the most important expertise that a model must have. Other than that a model must be flexible, dependable, industrious and competent to take directions. Moreover, having the right personality along with confidence and a positive attitude is very important in this field.
How to become a model:
 Being a model in the fashion industry is not easy. There is a lot of hard work involved behind it. Before starting the career as a model one must convey a thorough research regarding the industry, agents etc. The portfolio of the model should be made in such a way that it will catch the attention of the agency.
The physical requisites for modelling:
The age for modelling is not fixed and it depends on the requirements of the clients. But in general the perfect age for building a career in this field ranges from 16 to 21 years.  Female models can start their career from the age of 16 or even earlier. On the other hand male models start their career a bit late, generally from the age of 20.  For women, the preferred height is 5’6 to 6’feet while for men it is 5’8 to 5’11 feet.
